ACOM MICR printers are based on laser printers manufactured by Xerox.  The Phaser 4500 MICR printer is a 36 ppm printer that has 2 models.  Model 1 features a MICR toner sensor that allows printing only when a MICR toner cartridge is installed.  Model 2 has a three position keylock that allows users to print non-MICR and MICR jobs, as well as disabling the printer from printing altogether.
